National Health Center Week (August 7-13, 2016)

posted: August 5, 2016

Over the past 50 years, the Health Center Program has grown from just 2 clinics in 1965 to over 1,300 health centers today. Over 23 million Americans – including some of our nation’s most vulnerable populations – rely on community health centers (CHCs) for primary health care in all fifty states. That’s about one in fifteen people.

This year from August 9-15, CHCs across the country will celebrate National Health Center Week by holding health fairs, engaging in outreach, and offering screenings or immunizations to people who need them most. It’s a great opportunity to engage with your CHC and learn more about everything they do for your community.

At CAHN, we’re part of that network. And we’re here to support you. Call our free 24/7 nurse advice hotline to speak with a Registered Nurse any day, anytime. Or speak to a doctor in person by scheduling an appointment today.
