Capital Area Health Network has partnered with Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies in the text4baby Program to assist with providing pregnant and/or new moms with vital information throughout their babies first year of life.
Text messages will be received three (3) times per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) on topic areas critical to maternal and infant health, including:
Health Care Access Flu
Nutrition Mental Health
Prenatal Care Car Seat Safety
Drugs and Alcohol Safe Sleep
Emotional Well-being Oral Health
Smoking Cessation Pregnancy symptoms and warnings
Labor and Delivery Exercise
Feeding Development Milestones
Text4baby is available to anyone who has a cell plan with one of the participating carriers (excludes tracfone and Safelink).
Text4baby will work on pre-paid phones on any of the participating networks. If your carrier is NOT participating in text4baby, the messages are blocked (will not be charged).
If texting capabilities are turned OFF on a phone, you will not be able to send or receive messages and should call your carrier to have the service turned ON.
Messages are available in English and Spanish.-

There is no cost to user, even if you do not have a text plan with her provider. If you have a text plan, messages from text4baby will not be deducted from the number of texts you pay for with your regular plan.
Close to the dues date, you will receive messages asking for an UPDATE on the babies due date so you will continue receiving infant messages.
Privacy & Security
All user data is encrypted and stored on HIPAA-compliant secure servers. Information is not shared with any third parties.
If you decide you no longer want to receive the text messages, text STOP to quit service, explanations are not required. You can also text HELP for technical assistance.
