Assistance for you and baby. Capital Area Health Network has partnered with Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies in the text4baby program. This program assists pregnant and/or new moms by providing vital information throughout their babies’ first year of life. Text messages will be received three (3) times per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) on topic areas critical to maternal and infant health.

  • Text messages will be received three (3) times per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) on topic areas critical to maternal and infant health, including:   Health Care Access Flu Immunization Breastfeeding Nutrition Mental Health Prenatal Care Car Seat Safety Drugs and Alcohol Safe Sleep Emotional Well-being Oral Health Smoking Cessation Pregnancy symptoms and warnings Labor and Delivery Exercise Feeding Development Milestones Family Violence

Text4baby is available to anyone who has a cell plan with one of the participating carriers (excludes tracfone and Safelink). Text4baby will work on pre-paid phones on any of the participating networks. If your carrier is NOT participating in text4baby, the messages are blocked (will not be charged). If texting capabilities are turned OFF on a phone, you will not be able to send or receive messages and should call your carrier to have the service turned ON. Messages are available in English and Spanish.

Sign-up

Updates

You will receive a text message before your baby’s due date asking if there are any updates regarding your baby’s due date. The purpose of this text message is to ensure that you will continue to receive infant updates via text messages.

Privacy & Security

All user data is encrypted and stored on HIPAA-compliant secure servers. Information is not shared with any third parties. If you decide you no longer want to receive the text messages, text STOP to quit service, explanations are not required. You can also text HELP for technical assistance.
