Diana was raised in Colombia and Costa Rica. In 2007, she relocated to the United States with her family. She has a B.S. degree in Biology from LSU, and a degree in Nursing Sciences from Southeastern Louisiana University. Diana obtained her advanced degree in Family Nurse Practice from Maryville University St. Louis Missouri in May 2023. She is Family Practice Board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She has worked as a registered nurse in various emergency departments across the country from 2016-2023. She settled in the Richmond area in 2021 while working as an ER nurse at VCU. She is fluent in Spanish and is excited to take care of Richmond's communities.

In her free time Diana enjoys travelling, snowboarding, soccer, and visiting Costa Rica. She loves animals and has a 14-year-old yorkie named Sussie May.
