Perform patient screening procedures such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse, take x-rays, remove calculus and plaque, apply preventive materials, educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene and related nutrition habits to increase and maintain oral health, chart all documentation, and all related duties. Graduate from an accredited program approved but the American Dental Association, successful completion of Dental Hygiene National Board, completion of the SRTA exam, licensed through the Virginia Board of Dentistry.
