Medication Assistance

Medication compliance is one of the most important decisions you can make in keeping yourself healthy. Capital Area Health Network offers medication assistance to our patients at zero or minimal cost. We provide two FREE prescription assistance programs that assist you with your medication needs. Our CAHN Rx Connect Program and CAHN RX Connect Prescription Drug Discount Card can help you and your family with your prescription refills. Learn more about these programs and how to qualify for each program below.

CAHN Rx Connect is a patient assistance program supported by the Virginia Healthcare Foundation that offers FREE brand-name medications to our UNINSURED patients at no cost. You must qualify for this program, so you will need to answer a few questions with our Pharmacy Patient Navigator to see if you qualify. If you qualify you receive your medication FREE for one entire year! Medications are shipped directly to your doctor’s office and available for you to pick up 3 times a year (90-day supply). Please note that some medications may be excluded from this program.

CAHN Rx Connect Prescription Drug Discount Card offers a prescription discount card that can be used at any retail pharmacy such as Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and Rite-Aid. You do not have to qualify for this prescription discount! The card has already been activated so you can use it immediately without an expiration date; average savings range between 15% to 55%. Our discount card is available to all of our patients who are insured, uninsured and under-insured; even their family members and friends. This Prescription Discount Card is not an insurance card; it is a discount card for medications only.
