Dr. Barbara Steele has been a practicing Pediatrician since 1991 and has been with CAHN since 2015. She was born in Pittsburgh thus explaining her fervor for all the sports teams from that part of the country. She alternates bleeding Black and Gold with Orange and Blue as she graduated from UVA before going to medical school at EVMS (Eastern Virginia Medical School) in Norfolk. She then completed her residency at Emory University in Atlanta before practicing in Atlanta in a group practice as a partner for 15 years, and then in her own solo practice for 8 years. Her hobbies include reading, playing with her rescue dog (and only child) Lenny, and cooking. She loves to vacation at the beach and try new restaurants with her friends. Dr Steele is a Board Member and past Chair of Physician’s Alliance of America, a nonprofit based in Atlanta. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is also a member of the Virginia Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr Steele would love to take care of your child’s health care needs from birth to age 21 yrs. She can see your child for both “sick” visits and for well child care including school and sports physicals. She works at our Northside location from 8 to 5, Monday through Thursday, and is both capable and willing to see both new patients and her established patients, often scheduling them within 24 hours of your inquiry.
